Pirates in Illinois

Harrrrr Mateys

Yer Cap'n be reading The Midwest Traveler. No self respecting pirate would be with out his AAA Harrrrrr. It has this great article about a cave Harrrr. The cave is not that far away from yer Cap'n Harrrrr.

In 1795 the cave was made in to a makeshift tavern and was operated by pirates Harrrr. They luerd boatmen and other travelers in the cave with the tavern then they would rob the travelers and boatmen Harrrrrr. They where in operation for almost 30 years Harrrrrr. That be a long time of piracy Harrrrr. Now it be part of Cave-in-Rock state park in Illinois go see it for yer selves Harrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!! The best part is ye can take a boat there Harrrrr. it is called the Queen of Egypt Harrrrrr.

Hi Cap'n Maverick, sir! Wow, that's amazing! Imagine taking a nice ride in your boat and thinking you were going to a cave tavern and then getting pirated! Uh oh! Cool lesson!

See ya!
