The Cap'n speaks

Harrr Matey's, thanks so much for the concern over Yanni. It is still hard for yer Cap'n to wake up every morning and see his empty run. He was my pal and a Matey for sure. Althea Red Eye had a great idea about a 21 gun salute.

The Cap'n is gettin excited about this weekend. After being out of the spotlight for over a year, the Cap'n is going back to the dog show. I be in the parade of titleholders, harrrr. The Cap'n be wearing his pirate bandana in the parade too. It sure to be fun. Sea Wench Stella will be at the show Saturday and Sunday. Maybe a few other pirates, or pirate wannabes too. Since the Cap'n just be in the parade, he get to hang out in the grooming area all weekend, teaching pirate ways to any dog willing to listen. Hope Mom takes her camera and gets a shot of the Cap'n strutting his stuff in the parade.

Harrr Mateys, its a sad Cap'n Maverick today. Yesterday we lost a great siberian pal, although not a pirate, he was my friend, my mentor and my neighbor in the kennel. Sail on in your silver harness, you earned it old man.

Mouse hunt and other news

Today yer Cap'n was watching Lisa The Mean do her chores. Harrr, this be so good. Cap 'n Mav spied a mouse, harrr mousie. Then yer Cap 'n Mav caught the mouse, harrrr. Icky. The Cap'n quickly spit him out and the mouse hit the wall, lickety splat. It be nasty tasting. Yuck mousie. Then Gloria picked it up and spit is out too. Lisa The Mean grabbed it up and it went to Davey Jones Locker Room. We will never see it again. Harr, it be so much fun.

On other news, yer Cap 'n Mav has heard he will get a bath this week. Harrrr not just one but two!!! That be cause the Cap'n be in a parade of title holders and need to look his best. Your Cap 'n be so excited to go parading. Now to get Lisa the Mean to let me wear my pirate bandana in the parade.

Harry Mateys, the Cap'n finally back on blogger. Mom be so busy, harrr, that old Mav had to wait and wait. Aye Mateys, the wait be over. Here be a picture of the other lil pirate from Pennsylvania name of Rusher.

Harrr Mateys. Lisa starts back to college classes Thursday. Last night while the Cap'n be in his life raft due to harr cold, he spies her getting her stuff ready. Harrr, she has school supplies and books. Shiver me timbers, what does the Cap'n spy, a notebook. Harrr, now Mateys not just a notebook, this be a notebook with Cap'n Jack Sparrow on it. Oh, I tell ye, Cap'n Mavericks paws be itching to get ahold of that one. Me thinks Lisa be taking a class on pirates Mateys.

Harrr Maties. Check out this great pirate stuffie. Its a Cap'n Maverick replica. Harrr Mom and Lisa met with Stella the Sea Wench's mom last night and STSW's mom gave Mom and Lisa this great stuffie. Blimey, she made it at Build-a-Bear. Shiver me timbers, he got a sword, harr a parrot, hat, eye patch, the whole pirate outfit and it be a fancy one too. Yer Cap'n Mav think it is fantastic. Big thanks to Stella's mom fer this great pirate stuffie. Kinda brings a tear to Cap'n Mav's eye to be honored like this.

Harrr there Mateys, the Cap'n wants to harrr thank everybody for the birthday wishes. It be a great day for the Cap'n even with the bath. The cake be good too. Cap'n Mav stayed in all night in his life raft. Lisa left this morning for a dog sitting job, harrrr. Mom have to feed us all until she comes back, Mateys that means treats, lots and lots of treats.

Birthday update

Harr, here be a piccure of Cap'n Mav in his life raft. You may ask, why the Cap'n in his life raft. Welll, seems like the Cap'n was a bit stinky from sumthin so he got a bath and has to stay in until he be all dry. So I be in the lift raft. I just love my life raft. That orange thing be my 'rang 'tang. I got that for a birthday a few years ago. I love my 'rang 'tang.

Harrr Mateys, here be a piccure of my pirate birthday cake. Mom colored on it with something and drew this ship. Notice the Jolly Roger flying off the poop deck. There be a crows nest for Mate FuFu too. I wish all my Mateys be here for a piece of it, but I will eat a piece for each of you in mind. Harrr. all the more for Maverick, that the way it be.

Birthday Pirate

Harrrr, Mateys. Its my birthday today!!! Harrr, Cap'n Maverick be six years old today. Lisa be makin the Cap'n a funfetti cake with funfetti frosting and me birthday plunder be a new rope and tennis ball toy. Perfect for the good ship Maverick's Run. Thar be clear weather ahead and good sailing for the virtual birthday party, ye all be invited to celebrate with the Cap'n this afternoon.

New game

Harr Mateys, Cap'n Mav has found a new online game. Its called
Dogs of the Seas. Ye gotta create an account and sign in but has plenty of action. Cap'n Mav will be playing it in a while, once Mom gets off working and lets me use the computer again.

Harr, yer Cap'n would not sit still with the stupid bandana for any more pictures. Holly tells me that is one of the criteria for joining HULA. The Cap'n Mav may have to check that out. Harrr.

Happy New Years!!

Harrrrr, Mateys. It be a fine first day of 2007 for the Cap'n. I have this new bandana with pirates on it and allowed Mom and Lisa to capture an image of me with it on. Harrr, nothing like a little picchure taking to set off the New Year. Mom got a new camera and Harrr, I be the first dog she take a picchure of. Then right after I shake the bandana off. Harrrr harrr harrrr. Happy New Year Mateys, plenty of adventure for all in the year ahead.
